   4 I have an extremely deep passion for the cinema. I have put many actors who have inspired me on a pedestal. But, on July 18th 2008, the performance of Heath Ledger literally shocked me when I was taken from my every day life and pulled into a world of pure greatness. Heath has surpassed every expectation we could have ever of hoped for. I want to thank you Heath for inspiring all of us into believing that there is true talent that goes beyond anything we could possibly imagine.    9 Heath Ledger is by far the greatest actor of all time. The best thing about Heath, besides being a great father and a loving person, is the way he performed as the Joker in this movie. No one could have played a better role then he did. Though this was his last film, it was by far the best and a great one to be remembered by.     18 madness , he brought to life one of the comic worlds most complex and deranged psychopaths,i’m not gonna lie i douted his performance, but i’ve been readin and watchin batman grow since i was little savage and never in my life have i seen tha joker brought 2 life in a deranged psychaotic skitzo killa way on da big screen . Hats off on an outstanding performance of a lifetime.RIP heath leaves behind a pair of clown shoes that no one can feel .He sent chills of insanity across my mind when i seen his performance as the clown prince of darkness. i almost shed a tear when he made the pencil disaper(i was trippin on some shrooms when i first saw it)talk a bout madness ,but thatz a whole nother story.     23 R.I.P Heath, your portrail of the Joker was absolutely phemoninal, i loved every second, every movement, every line that you came out with, at the end i couldn’t help but let the tears fall when they had a dedication towards you. You wasn’t there to go to the premiere, it shouldn’t have been you that died so young, there are so many bad people in this world, and you had to be the one to leave us!     26 Oh my god. I love heath so much! He is the world’s best actor. I wish he didn’t have to leave so early in life. But I bet he’s in heaven looking over all of his fans. He did a great job in The Dark Night and I just hope and pray that he is recongnized for it. And of course for all of the other great films he has done. But I am really impressed with Joker.     30 I never really knew who Heath Ledger was…at first I thought his name was Keith Ledger, but one day in my history class we watched “The Patriot”. I immedately fell in love with Heath. He has done many successful and touching roles including his amazing performance in “Brokeback Mountain”. I awaited the release of The Dark Knight and was speechless. I really didn’t pay any attention to the plot of the movie, just Heath’s scenes. There is NO way that if there was another Batman with the Joker that they could possibly find an actor with an inch of talent that Heath portrayed in as the Joker. His laugh couldn’t even be discribed in words…there is no way they can match that unless they use his as the next Joker. Just the way he moved couldn’t even be copied. He must have put months of work into his role. Heath should get the Oscar for his performance as The Joker, because it was…I can’t even describe. His portrayal of The Joker was by far the best any actor has ever portrayed their character. It is ashame that Heath is gone. He left in his prime. Even in his late 20’s he had already given some of the best performances ever. Just from seeing him in The Dark Knight I can only imagine what he would have brought to another Batman as the Joker…even more amazing than this one..which would be possible only for him.     32 I recently saw The Dark Knight and i overwhelmed by the performace of Heath. Remove his part and the movie has nothing interesting. He played the best.     34 I just FINALLY saw the dark knight last night. Yeah, I know it took me a while. But what I can honestly say is that Heath’s performance absolutely made the entire movie. I’m saddened that we will never know what more he could have done. I believe wholeheartedly, that his performance is one for the record books, and all actors should look at how he completely created the character and the environment. Everyone else in the film, besides the greats Oldman and Caine, pale in comparisson to what Heath did in this film. Genius. Reply to this comment.

    39 It is impossible to describe his performance on The Dark Knight with words… as an actor he raised the bar… and the A list crowd will now have to rise up to his level. Difficult job indeed…almost impossible! His future had so much in store for anyone that enjoys films. To enjoy his acting was a privelage. I miss u Heath. Thank u for sharing this treasure with us. ALL HIS MOVIES WERE GREAT! But Heath didn’t just act in The Dark Night, he was also teaching human beings a lesson about just how much evil there is in this world and how difficult it is to remain on the good path. U did not have to be told how he became the Joker in this movie, because with every line he and every movement he explained to us that he came from a childhood of great pain, abuse, and disfunction. You are the best actor for the part of the joker…. you had the right hair the right voice and the right laugh but most of all you have the heart. You basically gave your life for that film and it was the best movie I have ever seen! I cry all the time when I think that your no longer with us. You were only 28, so very handsome and had so much talent… you didn’t deserve to die… and you will be greatly missed! everybody I know that has seen the dark knight has said that it was the best movie they have ever seen in their lives! I hope that you get the oscar!     49 As good as his performance in the dark knight was, I think it’s partly to blame for his death. During filming, heath spent over 1 month looked in a dark room in full joker attire to “get into the characters reclusive frame of mind” this has to have effects on ones sanity.     52 I’ve been watching movies starring Heath Ledger since I first saw “A Knights Tale” in 2001. It was my favorite movie for years. That is until I saw “The Dark Knight”. It’s such a shame that he had to leave the world at such a young age and my deepest sympathy for his family and friends. I sincerely hope that Heath Ledger will be the second person to receive an Oscar after passing away because he truly deserves it.     53 i saw “the dark knight” this weekend and left the theater breathless, completely blown away by heath ledger’s portrayal of the joker. i have been a moderate fan of heath’s since “10 Things…”. i was curious to see the character that he claims troubled him deeply and caused him massive sleep loss… I couldn’t move when he was on screen, he did such an amazing job, of possible villans to compare to would only be “hannibal lector” in “silence of the lambs”. He was brilliant, obviously the movie would not have been what it is without him. it’s hard to believe he was capable - at 28 years old- to play such a dark character. what a loss. heath ledger probably is probably one of the most talenetd actors of our time.     57 this was one of heaths best movies, he really outdid himself. before the movie was filmed, he talked with jack nickleson (previous joker) and he said that the part of the jioker would make him tired to an almost critical piont. heath took perscription drugs to calm his nervs so that he could sleep and do normal dailey activies. he overdosed accidentaly and it killed him. rest in peace, Heath Ledger Reply to this comment.

    60 I wanted to say Heath”s role was amazing.!!I enjoy cinema and its many facets, and this movie was one of the best action/ thriller movies ever. Not only just within Heath’s performance, but I cant think of one movie at the moment, that picked you out of your seat, up by the lapels, and head butted you,from the very first scene.I cant help but think of drawing a parallel of Heath”s “Joker”, as to Sir Anthony Hopkins, Dr Hannibal Lecter.He who graced us with his appearance and fascinated us ,as the Joker has.Both lethal characters ,and We want to get closer to them know them, but maybe not.Its only what they want us to see of them, and know about them.Where did the Joker come from,who is he really,? We know who Dr Lecter is,and his background, but the Joker is fascinating because he is an enigma.Yet if you listened to the character when he spoke, the hate and pain,in his whole being,and the story he told about his scars you knew the first story he told about how he got the scars is the true one. Heath projected the character for us so well,with his expressions ,his body carriage,his strange sense of humour, and yes it was there,you just have to know where to look.. his lies or his truths and there was much truth and very few lies.They always tell the truth, you just have to know where and when to look. Heath did the character so well,.I cant remember the line exactly but it was the Jokers last,. everyone is just one step away from madness all you need is a little push…. Reply to this comment.

    77 Heath, I really didnt want to go if i was told that i had to get shot in the arm and have the pain to bring u bak i probably would. Which shows how many people equally loved you and when i found out about your death i actually cried and i am not an emotional person, the dark knight really showed my love for you and the joker sepecially and i live with my friends giving me a rough time because i say how much i love the joker and heath ledger but no matter what they have said and are going to say i know that as long as i have the love of the joker i frankly dont care what they say and that really helps me. You never deserved to die and even the stars show their support to you as johnny depp, jude law, and colin farrell donated their checks to your little girl matilda it shows what a great person you are and how much you love your family is amazing especially when you had to leave australia people that watched you on tv and movies can see no matter what part you play it could never replace the time you had for your family and that really show what an amazing person you are and i ive my care to you and your family you really didnt deserve all this.
