Heath In STARmeter’s Top 25 List of 2009
The Internet Movie Database has announced the Top Stars of 2009, which are determined by the site’s unique visitors.
Johnny Depp may be the “Sexiest Man Alive,” but Robert Pattinson is the most sought-after. Hunky “Twilight” franchise vampire Robert Pattinson was at the top of the list, ending the five-year domination by Johnny Depp. R-Patz was joined by on-screen lady love Kristen Stewart at No. 2. Who else made the list?
“Twilight: New Moon” stars dominated the Top 25, representing almost 25% of the list. In fact, “Twilight” stars made-up 40% of the Top 10 with Robert Pattinson (No. 1), Kristen Stewart (No. 2), Taylor Lautner (No. 5) and Dakota Fanning (No. 8). Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed also made the list, at No. 11 and No. 15 respectively.
We’re a bit surprised Kellan Lutz isn’t on there. He’s just as hunky as Pattinson and Lautner. Also, who knew Dakota Fanning would be so high on the list? Notable absences: “Harry Potter” actors.

1. Robert Pattinson

As tomorrow (Jan. 22nd) marks the second anniversary of his passing, I just wanted to take a minute to say hello to all of Heath’s fans across the globe, and I hope that you will all be taking time to pay tribute to him on that day. Maybe you are lighting a candle and perhaps watching one of his movies, or even just taking a few minutes to keep him in your thoughts. But whatever you are doing, it’s a reminder of the post above and the comments made, that although Heath is gone, he is not forgotten. And we must never forget to remember. -

I think there will be so many of us today thinking of the fantastic actor, father, son, but most of all, the amazing person that was Heath! He will live on through his films, his family and friends and of course his beautiful little girl Matilda who is so like her Daddy. Heath, you will never be forgotton xx

I’ve been thinking about him all day. I miss him so, so much.

Posted: Feb 26th, 2010 at 8:47 pm9Reply to this comment. This update is so old, is there no news on Heath that is more recent? Perhaps the administrator (if he/she is reading this) could post dates/times of when Heath’s movies are going to play on TV? Or when The Imaginairum of Doctor Parnassus is going to be released on DVD in the US? Or post scans of articles that Heath’s name has been mentioned in . . . ?

Posted: Feb 27th, 2010 at 3:37 pm10Reply to this comment.Well said Hayden! I keep checking every day to see if there are new updates. We need them, to keep Heath’s memory alive. As you said, they could post when his movies are going to be on TV, or when Imaginarium will be released on DVD, things like that. Maybe upcoming books or magazine articles, anything would be great. I would hate to see this site fade away. Maybe if Heath’s fans know of anything that might be interesting, they can leave a comment here. I know I’ll be keeping my eyes open for sure, and if I see something, I’ll post it.

By the way, have the both of you seen The Patriot? I just finished watching it for the first time and I feel so heartbroken. It was a beautiful but very sad movie.

Posted: Feb 28th, 2010 at 12:15 pm13Reply to this comment.I’ve never seen it Hayden, I’m ashamed to say I didn’t realise Heath was in it until recently. Sometimes I can watch Heath (Brokeback Mountain mainly) and come away feeling happy about seeing him, but other times I’m left with that empty sad feeling. I just love to hear his voice and see him smile, but again I’m left thinking there could of been so much more! He had so much more to give himself!
By the way, did you ever get to see Dr Parnassus? -

Posted: Feb 28th, 2010 at 4:15 pm14Reply to this comment.I saw The Patriot a long time ago. It was a really good movie, I don’t have it in my collection but I should add it. Now, I have found a couple of books on Heath that his fans may be interested in. If you go to http://www.amazon.com and get into the book department, then type in Heath Ledger, a whole bunch of stuff comes up. One book is titled: Heath Ledger - Talented Actor (Lives Cut Short) by Stephanie Watson. It’s available to order now. The other book is titled: Heath Ledger (Rex Collections) by Ray Tedman, and it’s available June 1st. I plan to add both of those to my collection. There are lots of other items for Heath on Amazon as well - movies of course, and I think some posters and T-shirts. Just check out the different departments, type in Heath’s name, and all will be revealed.

Posted: Mar 3rd, 2010 at 6:43 am16Reply to this comment.Emma Breeze: no, I have not yet seen The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, although I am dying to do so! I am curious to know when this movie is coming out on DVD in the States.
And Dee, thanks for letting us know of those books. I will have to check those out.
Also, I know what you mean about sometimes feeling empty after watching a movie of Heath’s. Of course it is not because of his perfomance(s), but it is because we know that we’ll never see that big smile of his in another movie. I watch ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ often and while I love this movie dearly, it does makes me cry every time.
As for The Patriot, it is a must-see movie of Heath’s. I love it.
I have not yet seen Brokeback, though I hear it is good. Are the rumors true?

Posted: Mar 3rd, 2010 at 12:12 pm17Reply to this comment.Hayden, you have GOT to see Brokeback Mountain, it really is an amazing film. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve watched it. Heath’s performance in BBM went beyond brilliant. I know many people thought he should have won an Oscar for it, me included. I’m sure Dee will agree, if there is one film of Heath’s you must see, it’s Brokeback Mountain. A little warning though, stock up on the tissues as you will definitely need them. PLEASE go and buy youself a copy, you WON’T be disappointed!!

Posted: Mar 3rd, 2010 at 1:20 pm18Reply to this comment.Hayden: As Emma said, you HAVE to see Brokeback. It’s an incredible movie and story, very moving, and exceptionally well put together. Definitely a “must see”. You will not be disappointed by any of the acting you see on screen, Heath, Jake, and Michelle give this movie their very best. Another one of Heath’s movies you might want to check out if you haven’t already, is Candy. This was made in Australia, shortly after he finished Brokeback, and I couldn’t find it in the stores, I had to order it online from ‘amazon’ but again, Heath gives another amazing performance in this movie. A very serious subject matter, but extremely well acted. So, as Emma said, go and buy yourself a copy of Brokeback Mountain, and also Candy if you can get it. And yes, keep those tissues close at hand, for both.
